Welcome to Macmust’s new apps introduction column. Here, we will introduce to you the latest and excellent Mac App. We also hope that you can share with us in the comment section the applications that you are interested in or enjoy using. Here are this week’s recommended new apps. The recommended apps will mainly be free apps.

1. Tiny Image – Native client of TinyPNG on macOS

TinyPNG for macOS is a 3rd-party client of TinyPNG. With which you can compress images without opening browser.

2. BlueStacks Air – Run Android applications/games on your Mac.

BlueStacks Air is an Android emulator running on mac.

How to install BlueStacks Air on your Mac
  • Go to the official website and click on the Download BlueStacks button
  • Double-click on the .dmg file that has been downloaded
  • Drag and drop BlueStacks into the Applications folder
  • Once the installation is done, open Launchpad and launch BlueStacks Air

3. Amethyst – A tiling window manager for macOS

Amethyst is a tiling window manager similar to xmonad. It was originally written as an alternative to fjolnir’s awesome xnomad but written in pure Objective-C. It’s expanded to include some more features like Spaces support not reliant on fragile private APIs. Amethyst is free and open source under the MIT license.

4. AYA – Android ADB Desktop App

AYA is a desktop application for easily controlling android devices, which can be considered as a GUI wrapper for ADB.

5. Spaced – Organize your menu bar items into groups

The app provides menu bar separators to group menu bar items for a more streamlined appearance.

It is particularly beneficial on larger screens where menu bar space is ample, as opposed to smaller laptop screens with limited space.
